Yellow Fever Certification for East Africa.

Yellow Fever Certification for East Africa.

In line with a recent statement from the Kenyan Ministry of Health, please be informed that it is no longer just recommended but now mandatory for travellers to Kenya, travelling FROM or THROUGH “endemic” countries, to have proof of the Yellow Fever vaccination.

What is important to note is that Kenya, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Uganda and Rwanda are all included in the list of endemic countries. As such, we would advice all clients on any of our East African safaris that cross between these countries to have this certificate.

Clients from non-endemic countries straight into ONLY Kenya, Tanzania, Zanzibar or Uganda need not have this certificate. However, all visitors to Rwanda, regardless of where they’ve travelled from are required to produce proof of the YF Vaccine. It is mandatory that every traveller to Rwanda have this.
