With such a vast diversity of landscapes and habitats, planning your safari in Botswana can be great fun.
There is a huge variety of accommodation for you to choose from and several different ways for you to get from place to place.

Without doubt, the best way to make your budget go further is to drive yourself.
Using a properly equipped 4×4 vehicle you can get to just about all parts of the country and explore the National Parks and Game Reserves at your own pace. if you want to go into the Okavango Delta this is probably best done as an add-on where you fly directly in to the camps you have chosen.

Our vehicles are the best available and comprehensive driver training is available for those that want it. (Currently only available for those commencing in Maun)

To help you get started below are some of our most popular itineraries.
You can take them as they are shown here or you can modify them to suit your own preferences.
One of the beauties of driving yourself is that you have almost unlimited flexibility and can design the itinerary as you want.
We’re here to help you with advice on road conditions and driving times.

The itineraries shown below are all based on making full use of the camping equipment you will be hiring – demonstrating just how affordable this kind of safari can be –  but if you prefer not to spend all your nights under canvas – as with the itineraries above – you can also choose to substitute some of the nights camping for nights in lodges.
The final cost will depend on the itinerary you wish to follow and the accommodation you choose.

All prices shown include a fully equipped Toyota Land Cruiser
All prices exclude: Fuel, Visa and Cross border fees, Food, Drinks, Additional Insurance, Items of a personal nature
